In Texas, State Law requires that the Buyer's financing details be written into every contract or offer, so the
first step in buying a home is securing financing. Certainly one big item to consider is interest rates.  Right now is one of the best times that there has been in a very long time to buy a home.  However, interest rates have been up and down significantly over the past year, so don't delay. A rise as little as 1% can increase the payment of a 150,000 property by over $100 per month and the total payout by over $60,000 and that’s a lot of money!  Lock in a low rate as soon as you can.  If you do not already have a lender or if you would like to make sure their rates are competitive, we recommend one of the following:
