Homes For Sale Grand Prairie TX
The town of Grand Prairie was established in the late 1800s along the west fork of the Trinity River in southwest Dallas County. From that humble beginning it has grown to a city of approximately 130,000 residents that now spans the Dallas – Tarrant county line south of DFW International Airport. Since World War II, Grand Prairie has been host to a variety of manufacturing and assembly plants in the automation and aviation sectors. Companies such as Vought Aircraft, Bell Helicopter, Lockheed Martin, Siemens Energy and Automation, and Hansen Pipe Products continue to provide employment for area residents today. The city is also the home of Lone Star Park and the Smirnoff Music Center.
In spite of its continued growth and expansion, Grand Prairie is still an affordable place to live and raise a family. New single family homes range from the low $100,000 range to country estates overlooking Joe Pool Lake.
